about

Songbird is a ritual-driven bar rooted in seasonality, locality, and thoughtful hospitality. Songbird is designed to move gently with the day, from bright and nourishing mornings to relaxed, cheerful evenings.

Inspired by the North Carolina Piedmont, we work closely with small farms and local makers, highlighting native ingredients and regional flavors to shape what we serve and how we serve it.

Songbird was created by hospitality professionals Meg Paradise and Charlie Blue Arm.

mornings

Songbird mornings are bright, calm, and restorative, with coffee, tea, juices, and smoothies made with ingredients sourced from nearby farms and small producers.

Settle inside with something grounding or stop by our walk-up window for a quick, nourishing pickup on your way through the neighborhood. The pace is designed for quiet conversation and gentle beginnings driven by season.

Local pastries and morning bites provided by a variety of local purveyors are also available.

Our coffee beans are roasted by Willow House Coffee located nearby on S Saunders St in downtown Raleigh.

evenings

Evenings at Songbird shift into a warm, social rhythm, centered on cocktails, low- and no-alcohol drinks, natural wines, and seasonal small plates designed for sharing. The bar program highlights regional and native ingredients, preservation and fermentation techniques, and small-batch producers, with menus that evolve through the micro-seasons of the Piedmont.

The atmosphere turns cheerful and inviting — a place to gather with friends, explore new flavors, and linger over thoughtful drinks and food, all served with the same care and intention that guide the morning ritual.
